Informal Officer Inductions

We have a new set of officers for the 2006-07 school year! To welcome them to their office (and celebrate!), we are hosting an informal induction of the officers. This is event is open exclusively to Psi Chi members to meet the new officers and our faculty advisor, Dr. Carolyn Murray. This will also be your chance to pick up your graduation gear/merchandise orders, t-shirt orders, the latest Eye on Psi Chi magazines, and socialize! Light refreshments will be provided. This event is scheduled for Thursday, May 18 from 7:10-8pm in Surge 173.

Intercollegiate Social Event with La Sierra University's Psi Chi chapter

Our intercollegiate social event with the La Sierra University chapter of Psi Chi will be held on Sunday, May 21 from 10-12pm at the host school, LSU. We will be playing soccer and enjoying lunch. Even if you are not a soccer player, you are encouraged to attend for this great networking opportunity. Remember, the more Psi Chi events you participate in, the more points you will earn towards becoming the member of the quarter or year! Carpools to this event are being arranged. UCR Psi Chi's 4th Annual Banquet

The banquet is scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2006 from 12-2pm. Check-in will begin at 11:45am. Discounted tickets are $10 for Psi Chi members and $12 for each guest. This price includes lunch and entry into our raffle for great prizes including Psi Chi merchandise, Kaplan books, amusement park tickets, and much more! The RSVP card for this event can be found under the "Resources" tab on ilearn (Blackboard). Please return the card along wtih your payment (either cash or check/money order payment made out to "UC Regents") by Friday, May 19 at 4:30pm to RSVP for the event.


We have invited our very own distinguished Dr. Robert Rosenthal to attend as our keynote speaker. The banquet is our way of celebrating the end of the year and honoring outstanding psychology undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff. Awards to be announced at the banquet include Highest Class GPA (overall and in psychology), Psi Chi Member(s) of the Quarter and Year, Psi Chi Student Researcher of the Year, Psi Chi Faculty Member of the Year, Psi Chi Graduate Student of the Year, and many more! Graduating seniors will also be recognized at the banquet.

Also, don't forget to apply for the Psi Chi Student Researcher of the Year Award. The deadline is Monday, May 15 at 4:30pm. The application can also be found under the "Resources" tab on ilearn.
